How to Calculate Expected Date of Delivery?

It is a simple mathematic. Yes, very simple.

The basic rule is to add 7 days and 9 months to your first day of last period.


Example 1 :

First day of your last period : 8/3/2009

Calculation : 8 (+7) / 3 + (9) / 2009

Expected Date of delivery : 15/12/2009


Example 2:

First day of your last period : 20/11/2009

Calculation : 20 (+7) / 11 (+9) / 2009

Expected Date of delivery : 27/ 8/2010


*This calculation formula is based on the menses cycle length of 28 days.
